Course Description:
Organization Theory (MPA
8002) develops the student’s reflective capacity to understand the similarities and
differences in various formal and complex human organizations, the structures and dynamics
of these organizations, as well as the theories of change applicable to such
organizations. The materials analyzed in MPA
8002 challenge students to complicate their
understandings about organizations and to critically assess their frames, metaphors, and
theories of organizations as well as how these enhance or constrict their perceptions and
evaluations of organizations and their functioning. |
