Course Description:

Instructional Leadership provides a foundation for aspiring school leaders to synthesize research in curriculum and instruction, philosophy and the social sciences with their experiential perspectives on effective teaching. Major theoretical strands include: curriculum and pedagogical inquiry, teacher growth and development, teacher advocacy, reflective practice, supervision, and authority. Students design a multi-level, long-term staff development program.
